Our experience in Environmental Design and Building Performance Simulation allows us to offer a number of consulting services for our customers. In addition, our Affiliation with Building Simulation software developers like Square One Research Pty Ltd allows us to offer software products to our customers and provide customised training.
Consulting Services
Our Consulting Services include Building Performance Environmental Studies, which includes: Lighting, Solar, Thermal, Airflow (CFD) studies.
We can get involved at any stage of the design process, from the beginning when the design is still at a concept stage providing valuable advice on how the scheme should progress, all the way towards the end of a design scheme when details need to be finalised.
Examples of projects we could get involved, range from a single room to a whole city district, including Flats, Offices, Carehomes, Multi-storey Housing Developments, High-Rise Buildings, Exhibition/Performance Spaces, Stadiums, etc. simulating the performance of part of a scheme or a whole scheme.
Examples of the type of consulting that we undertake include:
- Overshadowing Studies (right-to-light, Shading design, Solar Potential)
- Daylight Studies
- Thermal overheating
- Natural Ventilation
- General Performance Advice on an Design Scheme
- Performance of a specific feature of a design
- Performance simulation and assessment of alternative options in a scheme
ECOTECT Training
We also provide customised training for ECOTECT users. Examples of the training provided might include:
- Introduction to ECOTECT
- ECOTECT advanced features and scripting
- Setting up, Conducting and Interpreting Simulation results for studies of: lighting, solar, right-to-light, thermal, PART-L/J, SBEM, etc with ECOTECT
- Assisting towards the completion of an existing project using ECOTECT
- Any customised ECOTECT related training
